Fueled by the panic of growing numbers of drug addicts for money, crime rates soared. Entire sections of great cities displayed empty sidewalks at night, the residents hidden behind locked doors and windows, which often were broken in by burglars. Online Practice
Online practice is one of the extra activity of that I most enjoyed and love. The special in online practice is, we can access it anytime or in any place .We can access to the Internet, from the comfort of our own home and even during summer and holiday breaks. Besides it, we can choosing our study time.It help us to plan our study time. Studying at nighttime or in the morning is up to the students. It is recommended that students try to develop a study routine if they can. Students can complete assignments when they are ready. As long as they complete the assignments required by the end of the semester, they will be fine. Students will be able to review materials until they feel they are ready to complete assignments or take tests and quizzes. It also increase accountability. Online practice can be even more accountable than traditional professional development because assignments, assessment scores, activities, and participant progress can be monitored online. In addition, online practice bring education theory to life. When online practice experiences take full advantage of the interactivity and multimedia power of the Internet.Wide variety of activity and question formats offers a more valuable learning experience than a typical workshop or textbook-based courses. Instead of one-shot workshops,we can use the flexibility of online practice to follow-up on learning activities with support that leads to implementation of new practices. Online practice also create excitement about learning. The interactivity and multimedia delivery of online professional development makes learning more engaging and fun.

Christmas Tradition
Christmas is probably the most festive time of the year, a season of gift-giving and celebration. We all know that Christmas is a religious holiday which marks the birth of Jesus Christ. But did you also know that some of the traditions are adapted from rituals dating back to a time before Christianity? Many pagan peoples regarded the winter solstice as a time of celebration. Anticipating the return of spring, people decorated their homes with evergreen plants, a symbol of eternal life. Mistletoe was especially popular, as it was believed to have magic powers. People hung sprigs of mistletoe in their homes and kissed beneath them as a gesture of friendship. At pagan festivals there was also a lot of singing and dancing going on – “dancing in a circle” is the original meaning of the word “carol”. Still now we keep these traditions up: we sing Christmas carols and dance around in circles, we kiss beneath the mistletoe and we decorate our homes with Christmas trees. By the way, did you know that it was a German who set the trend of decorating Christmas trees in England? It was Prince Albert, Queen Victoria’s husband. When he moved to England, Christmas trees had already been popular in continental Europe, but not in England. In 1841, Prince Albert put up a Christmas tree at Windsor Castle. The event was reported in the press; and as the whole country was very keen on the royal family, people enthusiastically took up the custom of decorating a tree at Christmas.

Depression of Teenagers in UKM
Our topic for the digital story telling is ‘depression of teenagers in UKM’. We chose the topic because depression is rarely discussed among our community eventhough it is actually quite popular. Other than that, we want to share more facts about depression with the whole class. We will explain a little bit on what is depression. Next, we will provide some examples of what is causing depression among students and lastly, we will share some ways on handling depression. Do enjoy

Steady my friends~
Throughout this 14 weeks of English for Science Social classes,i have been learned a lot of things and my english has been improved, although is just improved a little bit, haha.
Anyway,i do have a great experience because i got a class with a bunch of kind, funny and friendly classmates, and of coarse,we do have a nice lecturer,Puan Fuzirah to teach us.Her class will never boring and we wouldn't be so tense up during her class as madam is not a strict lecturer.
Nevertheless,we have been into troubles as the new learning systems,Medif and DST project have introduce to us.First of all, quite a lot of us couldn't complete the medif due to the medif system and connection problem.but luckily medif has cancelled at the end and we just need to focus on the DST project and online practice.
of coarse, again we met problem for the DST project. But with the clear enough instruction from madam,i guess every group has complete the project and waiting for the presentation that falls on this coming wednesday.
Anyway, guys, good luck for the presentation and in final, too =) please do take care of yourself besides than rushing for your assignment and doing preparation of exam.
Again, good luck and see you guys~!=D

ESS and EVERYTHING
This is me, Danial and I'm using Muaz's account because I didn't receive any invitation. Bummer :( . First of all, as you can see my title for this post is ESS and EVERYTHING. ESS stands for English for Social Science and this is one of my favourite subject in UKM. I would like to say THANK YOU to Madam Fuzirah. She is so great and very kind. She shares many knowledge and experiences with us. She guides us to do our ESS assignments and make us comfortable in her class because she is so friendly.
Other than that, I would like to share with you about my experiences during this class. The class members are awesome and they are friendly too. We can communicate very well even though we speak in English. I can see that each of them are willing to do that and I can see the improvements among them too. The first task we have to do is MeDiF and this is one of the complicated but interesting assignments. There are a lot of problem we faced when we are going to do that. Sometimes, we cannot hear the voice and the worst thing is we cannot record our conversations. Luckily, we don't have to do it again. The next one is Digital Story Telling. We have to create one documentary based on current issues and my group decided to do about 1Malaysia thingy but we found some difficulties about that issue and we finally decided to do about Video Blogging which is much more awesome than the 1Malaysia issue. My group members are Muaz, Izyan and Eng Loo. They are the best group members ever. They are friendly and sporting too. Thank you for your cooperations mates :) .
Now, our final examination is around the corner and this WEDNESDAY, December 21 is our PRESENTATION DAY. All the best to all of you. Break a leg.
XOXO. ~Danial~

DST project
Actually i don't know how to start this, but when i think that we have to post something on class blog, i become blank. Don`t know what to write. So, i have made a decision to post about our group DST project. I am not going to tell you about the thing that we do in our DST project actually, but i would like to share the experience of the movie making process.
At first, when the project didnt start yet, i feel that the project must be very difficult. So, we dont know how to start. A little depression for us i think. then, when we start the project, i find it really enjoyable with all the picture and the music, we do the project till it almost finish ( we think that, that time) then we find that we must, not exceptionally, MUST insert the narration, the job becomes harder. we don`t know how to insert the narration on movie maker. its really annoying. we don`t know how the project will end, we will do our best and try harder. i hope everything will be okay. Just wait for the day of presentation..

Problems among Malaysian Footballers & bestway of training & prevent injuries
Reason choosing topic : The reasons why we choose this topic because we notice that most of
people we meet know how to play football but they did not know how to
prevent themselves from injury and how to get the best way of training.
They also are not aware or take serious about their safety or phisically
injured while playing football. As we know, our Malaysian footballers win
the biggest match against Indonesia in Sea Games. So,we think this is the
suitable time to explain how to prevent injuries and get the right ways
of training as a footballers.
Purpose : The aim & purpose why we choose this topic because we want everybody know the
risk and injury that they might get while playing football.Eventhough ,football is the
fovourite sport in our country but we still need to know how to prevent injury. The
problem that malaysian footballers face can be use as an example for us to get the
right way of training for us .Hopefully,we can explain and inform to others about
how to prevent injuries and stay fit with the right ways of training.
